Shkodra pret me datë 14 shtator 2025, një aktivitet shumë të rëndësishëm të sportit të atletikës. Falë iniciatives së Shoqatës së Atletikes Vllaznia me kryetar, Albert Marashi, në bashkëpunim me Bashkinë Shkodër dhe Federatën Shqiptare të Atletikës, do të organizohet Maratona e Shkodrës, veprimtari që vjen për herë të parë në qytetin verior.
Me këtë rast, Shkodra pritet të shndërrohet në kryeqytetin e vrapit dhe energjisë sportive.
Nga më të vegjlit tek atletët profesionistë, të gjithë janë të ftuar të bëhen pjesë e kësaj feste unike, në kuadër të “Shkodra, Qyteti Europian i Sportit 2025”.
Sipas programit të hartuar nga organizatorët do të ketë konkurim në tre disiplina: 2.5 km, mosha 10-15 vjeç, 5 km, mosha 16-19 vjeç dhe 10 km, mosha 20 +. Për fituesit e trofeve, organizatorët kanë vendosur shpërblime financiare.
Në pritje të zhvillimit të aktivitetit, organizatorët kanë publikuar edhe ftesen për pjesëmarrjen në garë, bazuar në kriteret sipas rregullores përkatëse.

Shkodra Marathon – Run for yourself, run for Shkodra!
The Athletics Association “Vllaznia”, in collaboration ëith the Municipality of Shkodra and the Albanian Athletics Federation, is organizing a major sports celebration for the entire city.
The race is open to citizens, professional and amateur athletes.

Background
Shkodra is a city ëith a strong passion for sports and a rich history in athletics. Athletes from “Vllaznia” have achieved great success nationally and internationally:

- Balkan Champions
- Mediterranean Games Medalists
In its 106-year history, “Vllaznia Athletics” has ëon 29 national championship titles, including a record-breaking 17 consecutive titles from 2009 to 2025 – an unprecedented achievement in Albania.
